Tammie’s long, full life came to an end this Friday, Feb 19th 2016. Born Jan. 10, 1963. She is survived by her father Alden “Ron” Bassett; brother Rick and wife, Karen Bassett; Brother Dustin and wife Sarah Bradford. She was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen Mary Yates-Bassett and her father Marvin Virgil Yates.
She will be missed by all of her immediate and, large, extended family. Tammie was a very active girl. She was a great basketball player, cross country skier, and bowler. She won many medals playing basketball and skiing with the Special Olympics. Some of her favorite excursions were a trip to play basketball in Kentucky and ski in Vermont. (She was the first in her family to take a plane ride.)
She was a devoted Jazz fan as well. Karl Malone was her idol. She cheered her team on through thick and thin. She also spent many summers assisting her mother coach softball, camping, fishing and traveling with her family. She loved spending her idle time doing crafts. Everything from hook and latch rugs, coloring to bead jewelry.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to offset final expenses. This can be done by contributing to the GoFundMe page here:
