Tamara “Tami” Lee Wilson beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away at age 57 on September 18th, 2024, at her home in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on July 28th, 1967, in Salt Lake City to Zola Lee. Tami grew up in Kearns and spent time living in Tennessee and Arizona before finally returning home to Utah and planting her roots.
Tami was known for many things, but she prided herself most on being a hard worker and a caring mother to her three sons. While raising three children single-handedly had many challenges, she always knew how to have fun and bring a smile to the faces of everyone she met. Her work as an IT analyst could be very demanding, but that didn’t stop her silly sense of humor from lighting up the room. Tami always made sure that everyone around her felt included, and passed that value on to her children. She was one of the kindest and most giving people you could ever meet, and was always there whether you needed a helping hand or just a shoulder to cry on. Her loving and kind nature shone through even to her many flowers and plants. Tami was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Rams, and even forgave them for their time in St. Louis. She loved to laugh and make others laugh with a well-placed joke, or just time spent together watching a movie or stand-up comedy. Tami also had a love of video games, especially those with engrossing stories and interesting characters; two of her recent favorites were the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series. She shared her love of games with her children, who spent many nights with her gathered around either a television or kitchen table laughing and making memories.
Although Tami’s passing will always sadden us, she made up for it with the lifetime of love and good memories she gifted to those that were lucky enough to know her. Tami’s empathy, sense of humor, and kindness will be forever missed, but continue to be passed on through everyone whose lives she touched.
She is Survived by her sons Casey (Sarah) Bloodworth and Tyler Wilson, her brothers Greg (Mary) Jensen, Jeff (Julie) Jensen, Rick (Mindy) Jensen, and Christopher Lee, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
She is Preceded in death by her son Cody Wilson, her mother Zola Lee, and her stepfather Eugene Lee.
