Tagaloa Thomsen

Loving Husband and Father, Tagaloa Bernard George Raphael Thomsen, 61, left this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. He was born to Bernardt Aloysius & Ruta Iutita Savaiinaea Thomsen on February 9, 1952. He married the love of his life, Theresa Stehlin, on August 28, 1982 in Lepea, Samoa. Bernard was a retired Lieutenant from the State of Hawaii Department of Public Safety. He served for 29 years at the Oahu Community Correctional Center. He held the chiefly title of Tagaloa and was well versed in Samoan History and Culture. He is survived by his wife, Theresa, and children: Vania Lautaha (son-in-law, Sioape Lautaha Jr. and grandson, Talimailagi), Sina, George, Bernard Joseph, and Therence. He also leaves behind siblings, Cecilia Helg, Judy Thomsen, Victoria Jessop, Richard Thomsen, Rudy Thomsen, Tessa Fraser, and Martha Soon. He was one of 13 children and is now reunited with his loving parents and siblings Frank, Edward, Hans, Ruth, and Peter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Redwood Memorial. Family service at 10am and Final services at 11am. Burial to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan.
