Taeleolo S. Salavea passed away peacefully at her home on January 1, 2025, in Taylorsville, Utah at the age of 80. Olo was born on December 18, 1945, in Pago Pago, American Samoa. She married Mark Baron, but they later divorced. Olo is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Taeleolo completed school in Leone, American Samoa, and then moved to Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Olo obtained her certificate as a Beauty Salon Trainee. You could always find her cooking, crafting, or singing. However, her favorite thing to do was to take care of children. Though Olo did not have children of her own, she looked after her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She also had many callings in The Church, all of which involved her to care for and teach the children.
Olo is survived by her brother, Siamani Salavea, sister, Tuua S. Amosa (Ene), and her son, Bernard Baron.
She now joins many family members who have passed away to the other side.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, with the family service from 10:00 – 10:45 AM, with the Chapel service following, beginning at 11:00 AM at the Sauniatu Ward Chapel 4915 South 1950 West, Taylorsville, Utah 84123.
