Sylvia Pendleton

Sylvia Wynn Pendleton, age 76, died on September 5, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on August 18, 1937 in Scarbough, England to John Thomas Wynn and Consie Morris Wynn. She married David Joseph Pendleton on August 10, 1956. Sylvia and David shared 57 beautiful years together and he will miss her greatly. Sylvia had many amazing talents. She loved music, singing, painting, crafting and scrapbooking. She received many awards and shared her beautiful paintings with families and friends. She loved nurturing the talents of others. Sylvia worked with the handicapped and physically challenged students for 29 years and was loved by students and staff alike. She held many callings in the LDS Church, but loved conducting the music most of all. She brought laughter and joy to everyone. She had quite the sense of humor. She also had the ability to accept and love everybody, and they immediately loved her back. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her. She is survived by her husband, David; sisters, Barbara Case and Shirley Fullmer; children, Stephen David Pendleton (Vickie), Bernice Pendleton Kimber (Gary), Timothy John Pendleton (Jayne), Wendy Pendleton Jackson (Billy) and Thomas Al Pendleton (Jill); 12 beautiful grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who brought a lot of laughter and joy to her life; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, John; mother, Consie; brother, Brian Wynn and nephew, Danny Mattinson. A viewing will be held Friday, September 13th, 1 – 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road, with a graveside services starting afterwards at 2 p.m.
