Sylvia Howard

November 22, 1936 — September 3, 2014

Our precious Wife, Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on September 3, 2014 in the CareSource Hospice Center surrounded by her family after struggling courageously through a third battle with different cancers.
All join in their concurrence that this elegant lady devoted her entire life on earth to kindness, excellence and unconditional love for those who knew her. She filled her being with music, pursuit of beauty in all things and her aspiration to grace and charity. She was deeply committed to her unfailing belief that if we would each support, sustain and love those within our circle of influence without judgment, particularly focusing on our family, that the world would take care of itself. That commitment was her core guiding principal until the day she died.
She is survived by her husband and dearest friend of 24 years, Thomas, with whom she worked daily throughout their marriage in their Law Practice in Park City. She reluctantly leaves behind her seven children: Melinda Crawford, Bodey Quick, Michelle Booth, Alex Barker, Ben Quick, Monique Leake and Justin Quick along with their devoted spouses and fiancés, in addition to a rich countless posterity of treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, who have each assured her during their months of helping with her final care that they would be OK, allowing her to depart this life at long last after selfishly devoting herself to raise them alone during horrific challenges.
Funeral Services will be held at the Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr, Holladay, Utah 84117 on Saturday, September 6th at 11:00 and will be preceded by an open viewing for all at the mortuary at 9:00 am. We thank the staff at CareSource and the mortuary for their care. Condolences may be left at www.holladaycottonwoodmortuary.com. She will be laid to rest following the service at the Holladay Memorial Park Cemetery.
