Suz

May 13, 1941 — April 22, 2016

So…the bus has left.
Susan Carol Graham Healey passed away April 22, 2016 in St. George, Utah. She was born on May 13, 1941 in Murray, Utah to Monna and Darrell Graham.
Suz accomplished everything she set her mind to.
She attended and graduated from South High School in 1959. She married her high school sweetheart, James Alvin Healey on December 1, 1961. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple January 12, 1980. She attended LDS Business College. She retired to St. George, Utah, after 25 years of service with First Security Bank/Wells Fargo.
Suz created a Paradise called home where she spent a lot of time floating around in her pool and in the yard cultivating her garden.
She radiated beauty inside and out and was a very loving, caring and considerate person. She was a very good listener and problem solver.
When it came to holidays, Suz was like a kid in a candy store. Thanksgiving and Christmas were two of the favorites, in which she spent all year making preparations and couldn’t wait to spend that time with her family. Stocking stuffer shopping began in January each year – Oh how she loved to shop and not just for the holidays! Decorating the tree took days. Each year it seemed the tree (and the ornaments) became bigger and more magnificent. She had a real knack for decorating; it was apparent in her home and her wardrobe.
We have all heard of someone being the life of the party, but Suz was the party! Her quick witted and great sense of humor will always keep us laughing. She always had a smile on her face and a mischievous twinkle in her bright blue eyes.
Travelling was another favorite past time. Not only did she have the opportunity to visit several different continents during her lifetime, she visited many areas close to home as well.
Suz suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis most of her adult life. As a family we are really proud of her undaunting fight through life with her medical struggles. More recently the disease attacked her lungs causing Rheumatoid Lung and several bouts of pneumonia and scarring of the lungs. During her recent hospital stay she contracted MRSA (Me
thicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) which ultimately took her life.
In lieu of flowers you can donate to Arthritis National Research Foundation in the name of Susan C. Healey.
