Susan Rae Webb

Susan Rae Webb, age 80, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on March 15th, 2022 at the IHC Layton Parkway Hospital in Layton, Utah.
She was born on July 22, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota. Born to Woodrow Wilson Schoonmaker and Eliana Lillian St. Arnold and had 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Dennis, Woodrow, Paul, Diantha, Gayle, and Bronwyn.
Susan loved to serve, holding many callings within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including Relief Society President, Young Women’s President, Primary President, among others. She delighted in playing piano, singing and organized many church road shows which included writing and performing plays. Time spent with grand and great grandchildren was always a priority. As a school bus driver for 30+ years, she developed deep connections with the children she served. She enhanced the beauty in this world with her paintings, ceramics and embroidery. Susan used her gift of gab to talk to everyone and was an advisor to all who would listen. She never turned down an offer to join in a camping or fishing trip and could often be found laughing with family.
Susan married Larry R. Webb on January 3, 1964. She was his golly-dolly and a dedicated, loving mother to 6 children, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is survived by her 6 children, Robin, Dennis, Kelly, Eliana, Suzette, and David. Preceded in death by her husband, Larry Webb, father Woodrow Schoonmaker, mother Eliana Dunlap, stepfather Wayne Dunlap, brothers Dennis Schoonmaker and Woodrow Dunlap, and granddaughter, Emily Hamilton.
Susan had a true testament of the gospel and never missed an opportunity to share her love of Christ and faith promoting experiences.
The family would like to give thanks to the staff at IHC Layton Parkway Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
Viewing and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 125 Chapel Street, Layton, Utah. The viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, and the funeral will be held at 1:00 PM.Service Information
