Susan Olson

Susan Olson peacefully passed away with family by her side at her home on August 3, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Susan was raised in Salt Lake City and Alpine, Utah where she built many friendships that continue to this day. Many of Susan’s closest friends were her cousins that she was lucky enough to grow up with. Susan graduated from American Fork High School in 1977. She then graduated from the U of U Radiologic Technologist Program and advanced her career as an ultrasound technologist where she worked for over 35 years. She loved her job and training students. She worked at the Kahuku Medical Center, Cottonwood Hospital, LDS Hospital, and Pioneer Valley Hospital. She made lifelong friends wherever she worked.
Susan was creative and had many talents and hobbies. It was a pleasure for her to make wedding quilts, cross stitch, crochet, and make crafts for the people she loved. She also had a passion for traveling and so she traveled the world with family and friends. Susan was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong belief in her Savior Jesus Christ and loved the temple.
Susan loved spending time with her siblings and their children and always found ways to bring everyone together. She brought so much joy and laughter to her family and was involved in all of her nieces and nephews lives. She cared deeply about them as her own.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother Beth Renee Easton, father Boyd Olson, and brother Tim Olson. She is survived by her brother Ron (Debra) Olson, brother Scot Olson, sister Heidi (Mitch) Buck, brother James Weiss, and many adored nieces and nephews. She was such an important part of our family and will be dearly missed every day until we meet again.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Jordan Prairie Stake chapel, 5360 West 7000 South in West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will begin at 9:00 am. before the service.
