Susan Elvira Morris, age 74, died peacefully on October 11, 2020, in Taylorsville, Utah surrounded by her family. She was born on March 25, 1946, in Trinidad, Colorado to Ersie and Sam Vigil. She married James J. Morris on December 26, 1964.
Mom’s greatest accomplishment was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Mom loved the Denver Broncos and the LA Dodgers. She was happiest when she was playing Bunco with her friends and family and she was a professional Bingo player. She also beat cancer 6 times. She looked forward to our weekly family Bingo games and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, James J. Morris; son, James B. (Jauslyne) Morris; Crystal (Scott) Shank; Pat (Jessica) Morris; mother, Ercie Vigil; brothers: Steve and Gary Vigil; brother, Danny LeBlanc; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren: Acia, JJ, Aspen, Lyndsee, Jayden, Ryker, Braxden, Lyla, Hazel, Baby J. special sister-in-law, Darlene (Wayne) McNeese; brother-in-law, Lester J. Morris; brother-in-law, Tony Vigil; and many nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by her son, Ernie Morris; brother, Marcus Vigil; father, Sam Vigil; sister-in-law, Jan Morris; and sister-in-law, Myrtle Mae Vigil.
A private family viewing will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 in Murray, Utah.
