Susan Hansen Christensen, age 54, passed away on October 22, 2019, in West Jordan, Utah. She was born on September 28, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dennis and Jackie Hansen. She married Michael Gene Christensen in June of 1984.
Susan grew up in Sandy, Utah. Having thirteen siblings instilled in Susan the importance of family and caring for others. She became a mother at a very young age and because of that, she had a very special bond with her children. She was determined to give her children a good life therefore pushed through high school, working all while raising two small children by herself. She moved on to college courses and received a degree in business management.
She met her soul mate Michael Christensen and together they made a beautiful life and family. Susan faced a lot of struggles throughout her life but she always found a way to get through them. She was kind and selfless and the most loving woman you could meet. Over the years she opened her heart and her home to many people ranging from her children’s friends to her family. She was always willing to listen to others with love in her heart and be the first to offer a shoulder to cry on. She was a comfort and a safe place for many. She was very spunky and quick witted with a great sense of humor, always able to lighten the mood and make people laugh. She would light up any room she walked into with her loving personality. She had the most beautiful soul and was an angel on Earth. She was so much stronger than she realized, she fought long and hard and her whole family is so proud of her.
She sailed away peacefully surrounded by her husband, children, and loved ones, hearts full of love. Our angel on Earth has finally received her wings and is now sleeping with the angels.
She is survived by her parents Dennis and Jackie Hansen; eight sisters Hope, Bonnie, Dawn, Katie, Tammy, Michelle, Rachel, and Faith; four brothers Phillip, Eric, Joe, and Matt; husband Mike; children Michael, daughter-in-law Ashlee, Rebecca and Tyler; nine grandchildren Zierra, Meyah, Cheylynne, Kaylee, Artiee, Xander, Zayden, Dominik, and Elijah.
