Sunnee passed away on May 2, 2021 after a 12 year battle with cancer. Sunnee was born on October 2, 1953 to Alva Harrison Tippetts and Mary Woneighta Bryant Tippetts in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sunnee is survived by her husband Joseph I. Limb, four children and fifteen grandchildren; Kenneth and Holly – Joshua, Janae and Aaron and David Rawson; Craig and Krista – Brooklyn, Ashton, Owen, and Andalyn; Charlotte and Mike Kahn – Angelina, Austin and Miranda Limb; Brent and Sarah – Harrison, Lolita, Ellie and Jessy. She is also survived by her siblings: Pat Wood, Dee Tippetts, TyNea Sorenson, and Susan Ware. She was preceded in death by her parents Alva and Woneighta Tippetts and her siblings Lloyd, Zoella Essman, and Joel.
Sunnee worked in her teenage years at JCPenney, Rose Park Library, and Tooele Army Depot. After graduating from Cyprus High School in 1972, she moved to Indiana where she made many lifelong friends. While there she worked at Osco Drug Store and in the records department of Home Hospital. She lived in Indiana for two years and when she returned to Salt Lake she married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph I. Limb on August 27, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Throughout her adult years she has lived in the Historic Marmalade District of Salt Lake City. She has faithfully served in various callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 19th Ward of the LDS Salt Lake Stake. Among other callings, she has served as compassionate service leader, visiting teacher coordinator, and activity chairman. She is well known for her passionate service in scouting; where she served for 22 years. There are many boys that love and visit her.
Before her children were in school she provided child care in her home, she then was employed by community action program as a security guard. After 27 years of service, Sunnee retired from the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she spent most of that time working in the Medical Records Department.
Sunnee is known for her kind heart and willingness to give. She has made an impact on many lives and is beloved by her family and the countless friends whom she has served and was dedicated to. She will be missed dearly.
Funeral Service will be held at the Salt Lake – 19th Ward Chapel, 225 West 500 North, Salt Lake City; May 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the same location, and again 1 hour before service 9:45 am – 10:45 am. Her interment will be at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123 following the service.
