Bear’s gone cruising’
Bear died Monday, December 15, 2014 following a long courageous battle with the ills of life. His spirit can fly free now that it’s no longer shackled to a weak, ill body.
Steve was born June 29, 1941 in Salt Lake City, son of Clyde A. Walters and Luella Wilkinson. He and his brother Bob were raised by their maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Harold Wilkinson. Graduated from East High School in 1960, and joined the Army. Served as part of NORAD in California. Married Flora Medrano in 1964, had 2 sons; later divorced. In 2007 he married Rocky Davis, who survives him.
Loved cars, all kinds of cars. Was friends with most of the car people in Utah, going to shows and cruises all over the state. Loved sports, was quite an armchair quarterback.
Survivors include wife; sons, David and Michael; step-brothers and sisters, Gene, Darrel, Sharron and Bonnie and step-son, Frank Davis. Many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by brother, Bob; parents and grandparents.
