Steven Larkin

March 27, 1946 — November 16, 2017

On Wednesday, November 16th, 2017, our beloved Partner, Brother, Uncle and Friend, Steven Larkin, passed away at his home in Holliday, surrounded by family and friends. Steve was born on March 27th, 1946 to June and James Larkin in the small town of Granite, UT.  He grew up on a mink ranch and fruit farm which gave him his work ethic of being a hard worker.  Steve graduated from Jordan High School and attended BYU.  Steve was caring and selfless.  His generosity and kindness along with his unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever.  Steve loved gardening especially flowers.  He will truly be missed.   There was nothing that he couldn’t grow.  Steve was a master chef who loved to cook and entertain.  He loved to travel especially going on cruises.  He loved his animals.  His nickname was the Larkin Zoo Keeper, which he proudly displayed on his work hat.  He was devoted to his cats, Ricky and Sabrina and three schnauzers –  Ebony, Tucker and Chloie. He loved his goose, Chatter, and many chickens — too many to name.  He worked for the Newspaper Agency Corporation until retirement, and then he became a tax consultant to help keep him busy.  Steve is survived by his brothers Kent (Pat) and Emerson (Ann) and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his partner, Michael Kaze.  Funeral services will be held November 22 at 2:00 pm. at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery at 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake City, UT.  We acknowledge First Choice Hospice and Home Health Care for their kind, loving and generous care and support.
