Steven B. Fife
“Fife the Knife”
1942-2018
On January 21st, this world lost a kind, gentle and loving man. The world’s greatest husband, father, grandpa and brother passed away after a hard-fought battle, surrounded by loved ones at home.
Steven Bayne Fife was born December 5, 1942 to John and Letha Fife. He graduated from South High School in 1961, where he excelled in basketball and football and was known as “Fife the Knife.”  He spent 25 years as a SLC Police officer and SL County Sheriff’s deputy and 12 years at Zions Bank. He was most importantly a family man who loved and supported his children and grandchildren in everything they did. He was an amazing man who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Steve is survived by Claudia, his wife of 54 years; children, Todd (Melissa), Chad (Lisa) and Jody (Troy); his 7 grandchildren, Jordan (Angela), Colbey, Alex, Jakob, Morgan, Madison and Spencer and great-grandson, Liam. Siblings, Shirlene Linehan, Tom (Geri), and Frank. Sister-in-law, Linda Jensen (Joe) and brother-in-law, Scott York (Kelly). Preceded in death by parents and brother, Terry.
