Steven Bradshaw

May 6, 1954 — September 3, 2018

Our beloved son, amazing brother, devoted father, favorite uncle, and loyal friend, Steve Bradshaw, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, September 3, 2018.

Steve was born on a beautiful spring day on May 6, 1954 to R. LaMar and Gloria Wood Bradshaw in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He grew up in Sandy, Utah where he enjoyed exploring the nearby fields and streams and learned early to love the outdoors.  He attended Brighton High School where he made many lifelong friends.  He was blessed with a beautiful voice and singing with the madrigal choir was a favorite memory. He faithfully served a mission to Roanoke, Virginia for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Traveling was a great love of his, with Lake Powell being a favorite. He was an outdoor enthusiast and literally wore out his knees and body with his many adventures.  These outdoor activities, including hiking and biking, helped him develop an unusual stamina and endurance which served him well throughout his life.

Steve was blessed with many talents; he had impeccable taste in music, food, the arts, fashion, and could, according to him, “easily pick out a tie in my sleep!”

Steve was no stranger to adversity; however, through all he experienced he developed a sincere empathy, compassion, understanding and tolerance for others who walked a similar path. He was a man who loved deeply and had great faith.

His family is his greatest treasure.  He and his five siblings are very close and he has an especially close bond with his parents who have served him selflessly with love and devotion.  He adores his children, Lincoln, Kylie, and Tanner and was thrilled to become a grandfather.

Steve had a deep testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and his faith carried him through many trials.  Although we mourn his passing and will miss his beautiful smile, we are grateful for our knowledge that families are forever.

He is survived by his children: Lincoln (Bryndy), Kylie (Ty) Burgi, Tanner (Mayra); three grandchildren; his parents, LaMar and Gloria Bradshaw; siblings, Cal (Barbara), Jill (Brent) Hansen, Boyd (Kaylyn), Sharon (Rich) Maxwell, Julie (Jason) Haddock; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
