Stephen Poulson

September 1, 1943 — May 22, 2014

Stephen Gail Poulson, loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend embarked on his next great adventure on May 22, 2014. His family surrounded him in his last days at home.
Stephen was born Sept 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT to Gail and Arlene Poulson. He graduated from East High School and the University of Utah. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was askilled marksman. From 1963 – 1966 he served a mission for the LDS church to Copenhagen, Denmark that was a highlight of his life. He participated in the singing group while in Denmark called the Singing Mormons.
Stephen married his sweetheart, Lynne A. Jamison on August 10, 1966. Together they had three children Taralyn, Troy (Stephanie) and Tiffany (Dorin).
He served faithfully in numerous callings within his church. For twenty-five years, he owned and operated his own accounting business. Dad loved music and had a beautiful tenor voice. He enjoyed Dutch oven cooking and created many delicious meals for his family to enjoy. He was a loyal University of Utah football fan and held season tickets for several years. Fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his family were his preferred activities. We were lucky to spend 10 additional years with him, after he received a kidney transplant.
His wife, Lynne and parents preceded Stephen in death. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, Sister Pat (Stephen), Brother in –Law Jerry and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Dalton, Rebecca, Jordan, Abigail, Chelsea, Ashton and Adam.
