Stephen Jerome Bardsley passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in Saratoga Springs, Utah, age 78.
Born in 1941 to Samuel Paul Bardsley and Leah Eugenia Stiefel. Grew up in Spokane, Washington. Graduated from Brigham Young University in Music Performance. Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Texas Mission, 1960-1962. Travelled the world as he sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 20 years. Jack-of-all trades and involved with his children and community, Stephen was exemplary in serving God and his fellowmen. Married Gwen Yancey Bardsley in 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple, parents to Daniel (Myriam) Bardsley, VeLeah Bardsley, April (Aaron) Roemer, Esther (Steve) Fairbourne, Jacob (Whitney) Bardsley, and Spencer (Anna) Bardsley. Then in 1999 he married Marsha Janes and became step-father to David, Aaron Daley, Kim Jessop, Rebecca White, Brian Daley, Jennifer Gustuson, David Daley, Jeremy Daley, Mary Woodward, Hannah McCurdy, and Jacob Daley. After losing Marsha to cancer in 2007, he married Marjorie Louise Laird in 2008.
Outdoor services will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at 9:45 AM at Memorial Mountain View: 3115 E 7800 S Cottonwood Heights, UT. Canopy seating will be limited to family only. A viewing will be held from 8:30-9:30 AM at the same location.
Services will be live streamed via Zoom, instructions to join are as follows:
