Stephanie Maack

February 25, 1968 — July 21, 2014

Stephanie Maack passed away on July 21, 2014. As a child, Stephanie was very special and intelligent. She was musically gifted on the violin and played at an early age. She was an excellent student throughout her school years, achieving impressive grades.
She attended Olympus High School, graduating in 1986. She worked at the University of Utah Hospital in many different capacities for a number of years. Steph married the love of her life, Richard Maack, and spent fifteen of her happiest years with him.
Steph loved homemaking, shopping, boating, Lake Powell, Hawaii, California, Disneyland, the ocean, palm trees, Diet Coke, making others laugh, and good times spent with family and friends.
Steph will always be remembered for her courage, her sense of humor, her great attitude and her strong fighting spirit.
Steph was preceded in death by her grandparents, Phillip and Barbara Hogensen, grandfather Thomas A. Olson, grandmother Mary Olson and uncle Richard Olson. Survived by her mother Marilee Olson, father Phillip (Ann) Hogensen, Jr., sister Emilee (Jim) Jacoby, sister Darci Hogensen, brother Phillip Hogensen, III, nieces Annabelle and Sallie, nephew Julien and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A special thank you goes out to all of the wonderful providers who lovingly cared for Steph. We are so grateful for you. Stephanie is reunited with those who have gone before her and they are rejoicing with her, as she is finally at peace.
Graveside Service Friday, July 25, 2014 at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 S Memory Lane (1990 E), Holladay, UT at 10:00 am.
