Spencer “Mike” Workman

Spencer Mikkel Workman, age 65, passed away December 14, 2019, in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on October 14, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Glenn Workman and Rhea Mickelsen. He married Charyl Druce (later divorced) and Patricia Groendyke.
Spencer liked rebuilding engines, listening to oldies music, restoring old cars, and liked to race his older cars out in Wendover, Nevada. He liked going to Wendover and Mesquite. He was a people person and could talk to anyone. He met numerous people in his travels.
He is survived by his first wife Charyl, children Sherie Wade (Chris), Bryan Druce (Tiffany), and Mikkel Workman; 8 grandkids, 1 great-grandchild, special friends Russ, Ben “Putter”, Ceasar, and Leon; brothers Glenn Workman and Dale Workman; sister Judy Lindsay, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia, and brother Leroy Allen.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 23, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT. A funeral service and interment will follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America, www.lupus.org.
