Sophie D Pacheco

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother Sophie De-Herrera Pacheco, joined her beloved husband and son on October 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 24, 1924 in Conejos, Colorado. She married the love of her life, Jose E. Pacheco, on December 11, 1944. Together they had three beautiful children: Alecia, Josephine, and Jose Jr. Sophie adored her children and grandchildren with all of her heart, which was the reason for her smile and happiness every day. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She is survived by her brother John (Toni) De-Herrera. Her two daughters: Alecia (Bill) Mondragon, and Josephine (Jesse) Gonzales. Seven grandchildren: Gina (Erin) Mondragon, Bill J. Mondragon, Matt (Nancy) Mondragon, Valerie J. Gonzales, Christie Mondragon, Jodie (Bobby) Gonzales, and Todd Jeremenko. Also, 12 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Sophie will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Avalon West Care Center and Bristol Hospice for their extraordinary caring ways.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Memorial Redwood to follow.
