Sonia Petersen Westbrook

Mom was born on May 29, 1927 to loving parents, Jens Petersen and Ingeborg Jacobsen in Bountiful, Utah. She graduated from Davis High School. Mom enjoyed music from a young age and was an amazing pianist, performing at many occasions. She instilled this love for the piano in her family and among many children and young adults whom she taught.
She was PTA President and served in many church callings, including Primary President and as an organist in her ward, stake and at the Salt Lake Temple for many years.
Mom married Cornelius (Corey) Westbrook and they had a wonderful life together, traveling throughout the world. They had three children, Craig Hillard, Cynthia (Terry) Walker and Corey (Jana) Westbrook, 13 grand-children and 19 great grand-children. Mom was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother John and sisters Ella, Olivia and Evon.
We express special thanks to the staff at The Ridge Cottonwood Senior Living and Brighton Hospice, especially Janet, Mikey and Scott for their loving care and kindness shown to our mother.
