Silveria was born on September 15, 1928 in La Jara, Colorado. The daughter of Cladio Ortega and Clara Avila. She was the oldest of 7 children. Silveria passed away peacefully with her loving family and caregivers by her side at the age of 90. She was married to Delfin on September 17, 1947. She spent her career as a care taker to many. She loved taking care of people and she loved being there for all of her family. She never missed a bingo game. She loved to travel far and wide. In her last days, she remembered everyone.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Delfin, her daughter, Lucille, her granddaughter, Debbie, and grandson, Brian; sisters Rita Ortega, Shirley Beamer, Helen Maldonado, Lena Jamie, and brothers Steve Ortega, and Ernie Ortega. She is survived by her children Esther (Kelly) Ungricht and Vickie (Monty) Moore, granddaughter Keller (Roy) Jensen, Beverly (JoDee) Jensen, Jackie Weimer, and Morgan Moore. Great granddaughters Kaitlin and Jazmine and great grandson Carl and three other great grandsons she was never given the opportunity to meet.
She hated to leave this world so early, but she was ready to go home.
Special thanks to the entire staff at City Creek Post Acute for their love and kindness.
