Shirley Woodbury

Shirley always said, “I’ve got to get organized first” before doing anything. She must have gotten everything here on Earth organized to her satisfaction because she has moved on. On July 26, 2014 our mom left us and now we have to do our own organizing.
Our Mother, Shirley Gifford Woodbury was born on January 3, 1928 to Afton Gifford and Nora Dalton in Springdale, then grew up in Rockville, Utah. She loved her family, her garden, popcorn, and pinochle.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Murl C. Woodbury, her parents, her brother and one sister. She is survived by 3 sisters and her 4 children: Pam (Bill) Patton, Cleon (Valene) Woodbury, Sue (Paul) Salin, and Kevin Woodbury, as well as 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1 at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 E. 7800 S. Cottonwood Heights. A viewing will be on July 31 from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour before the funeral.
