Shirley Jean Goodman Coleman

Shirley Jean Goodman Coleman died at the age of 87 in Sandy, Utah. Shirley was born on June 12, 1932 in Durango, Colorado. Shirley’s parents were Karl Nahum Goodman and Leona Emma Tanner Goodman. Shirley was married to Lawrence Clenten Coleman on February 14, 1951.
Shirley loved having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren around her. She had a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She missed going to Church her last several years.
Shirley, in her younger years loved drama and doing make-up for plays of various groups. She was extremely good at Characters, especially animal faces. She wrote books and short stories, decorated cakes, and was a super and creative cook. She loved camping, fishing, hunting, bottle digging, hiking, rock hunting, and picnics. Shirley was extremely good at oil painting and taught different types of arts as well as her grandchildren that were interested in learning.
She loved to take her kids and grandkids camping and would even put about 16 people in a small trailer when it was needed to keep them warm.
She is survived by daughter, Terry (Gene) Stewart, Son Dennis (Belva) Coleman, Son Larry Coleman, Son Randy Coleman, Daughter Leona (Jose) Lopez. Also, uncountable grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband- Lawrence Clenten Coleman, Father – Karl Nahum Goodman, Mother – Leona Emma Tanner, Son – Allen Kent Coleman, Brothers – Karl Nahum Goodman Jr., and Sherril Alvin Goodman, Joseph Baldwin Goodman, Sisters – Francis Alameda Goodman Neilson, Florence Nedra Goodman Johnson, Granddaughter – Janae Kathleen Stewart, Grandsons –Sebastian Cin Coleman and Kelly Lee Coleman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM with a viewing two hours prior beginning at 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Interment will follow the services at the same location. Due to the landscape of the COVID-19 Virus, services are being held to private family only. However, Memorial Mortuaries and Cemeteries are offering a free live-stream of the funeral services. To participate in this, instructions are below. Please only log onto the stream about 15 minutes prior to the funeral services, as the viewing will not be streamed.

the funeral services
 
2. Joining by phone or iPad
a. Download the Zoom app
b. Open the app and select “join a meeting”
c. Enter the meeting id – 8019693456
d. Select “join without video”
e. Select “Call using internet audio”
f. Select “mute” in the bottom left hand corner so that your audio does not interrupt
the funeral services.
