Mom was born June 21st 1939 in Salt Lake City to Wiley Rodger Pierce and Snodie Gerturde Robertson Pierce. She was the youngest of 5 children, she grew up in the Sweedetown area of North Salt Lake City.
She enjoyed a childhood where her older brothers and only sister made sure she had what she needed. Her mother was suffering from T.B and was unable to do the difficult task of taking care of a very young child. Her sister Utahna stepped up and had a huge part in the upbringing of our mom. They had a very special relationship that lasted until she passed away in 1997.
She attended West High School where she met the love of her life Perry Gardner Kilpatrick. They were married February 13th, 1957. In 1958 they had their first son Rodger followed by Randy in 1960 and Ricky in 1962. Perry and Bonnie decided on buying a home in Kearns and it was there the family was raised.
Many good years followed until Perry passed away in 1973. With three young sons, she worked in the hotel business at Little America and was able to work her way up to supervisor. She moved on to work at the Salt Lake Airport Hilton, and later to the Quality Inn where she became Executive Housekeeper.
Mom loved animals, and always had a dog to take care of and share with her life (Tinker & Buddy).
Mom leaves behind her three sons, Rodger (Karen), Randy (Tracy) and Ricky (Barbara), grandchildren Zak, Kylee (Cody), Ian (Alexa), Bryan (Nikki), Marci, Britney (Casey), Cody, Travis, Ricky and Katie (James). Preceded in death by her Husband Perry, brothers Harold, Gene and Don and her sister Utahna.
A private graveside service for the family will be held.
The family would like to thank Sego Lily Assisted living for their love and care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Dementia Society of America at https://www.dementiasociety.org/.
May you rest in peace dear mother, we love you and hope to be reunited with you and our loved ones.
