Shirley Rhae Ballard

Shirley Rhae Ballard, age 93, passed away on 12/04/2023 in Draper, Utah. She was born in Superior, Wyoming to Jacob and Idonna Hysell. She married Lynn Ballard on February 8, 1957.

Shirley was a strong and giving woman. She would give more than she received. She loved her family, friends, and community. She loved her hometown, Superior, Wyoming, and where she raised her family in Draper, Utah. She was a great service to her community and church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Shirley is survived by her children Ron Ballard (Trina), Janeen Santarosa (Ernie), and Shirlene Yamashiro (Gary), daughter-in-law Gayla Napier, and 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Lynn Ballard, daughter Diana Walker, parents Jacob Hysell and Idonna Hysell, and 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Services for Shirley will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary located at 10055 South State Street, Sandy, UT, 84070. There will be a viewing from 9:00 am to 10:45 a.m. with a chapel service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens located at 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT 84092 following services.
