Shirley Ann Hartvigsen Peterson

August 28, 1936 — November 11, 2021

Shirley Ann Hartvigsen (Peterson), of West Valley passed away November 11 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley enjoyed baking, and was an amazing cake decorator. She liked camping and riding four wheeler’s with family and friends, but loved being a mother and grandmother most of all. She was the most kind and loving person, a true angel from above, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Born August 28, 1936 the daughter of Arthur Lorenzo Hartvigsen and Margaret May Thomas Hartvigsen. She married Robert Eugene Peterson on December 22, 1956.
Shirley was not only a great homemaker, mother and grandmother, she also worked 11 years for the granite school district as a teacher’s aide, five years in the public sector, and 14 1/2 years as a military pay technician for the government.
In addition to her three children Robert E Peterson Jr, Collette K Peterson, and Rochelle Welborn. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday 11/20/21 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123. A viewing will be held from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on the same day at the same location. Interment to follow services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
