Shirlee Ann Zwahlen Gilbert, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away December 8, 2015 after a courageous battle with abdominal cancer.
Shirlee was born June 18, 1924 to Samuel and Atlanta Zwahlen. She married James A. Gilbert, March 7, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS church, serving unselfishly in many callings.
She is survived by her daughter Carol (Larry) Etherington, sons; Craig (Pam), Mark (Kim), Scott (Sheila); 16 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and her 3 sisters, Jean Mitchell, Ruth Ellefson, and Judy Knott.
Funeral Services will be held December 12, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Butler 17th Ward Building, 7035 South Nutree Dr. (3280 East). Friends may call at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South, Friday from 6-8pm and at the ward building one hour prior to the services.
