Shirlee Ranee Bouwhuis, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 17, 2024, in West Point, UT. She was born on November 23, 1942, to Earl and LaRue Sharp in Murray, UT.
She married Steven L. Bouwhuis on January 21, 1998, celebrating 26 years of marriage together. They were sealed together in the LDS Temple in St. George, UT. She took on the role of being a mother to 3 children Steven, Rick, and Liza. She worked for 63 years straight without any interruption. She worked in several different fields as a diamond specialist, cleaning homes, steam presser, and finally retired at CHUMS down in southern Utah. She loved golfing, bowling, spending time spoiling all her pups and sharing all her yummy recipes. She loved watching Hallmark & Westerns; she was also a huge Utah Jazz fan. Spending time with her kids, grandkids great grandkids, nieces and nephews was the highlight every day for her.
She is survived by her husband Steven, children Steven (Julie) Bouwhuis, Rick (Zoa) Bouwhuis, Liza Oldham, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
Shirlee is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings MaryAnn, Earl, Gary, Keith, Dennis, and the twins Calvin & Carolyn and her pups Snickers & Lucky.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah on Friday June 21, 2024, at 2:00PM. A small viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the services.
