Our dear Mother, Sherry Lynn McComb Montoya, 74, returned to her Savior July 27, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. Born March 13, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas William McComb and Virginia Gwendolyn Ingleby McComb. Sherry met and then married her high school sweetheart, David, civilly on November 20,1969 and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 5, 1977. Together they settled in the Salt Lake valley and raised three children. Sherry was a kind and loving wife and mother who doted over her family and loved to create memories for them. Sherry was a devoted member of the LDS Church and served in several callings where she enjoyed leading music. Sherry loved to sing and participated in several choirs. She loved to sew and would make her choir performance dresses as well as clothes for her children. Sherry had a charming manner and easily made friends wherever she went. Sherry will always be remembered by those who knew her for her warm personality and loving heart. Sherry is reunited with her sweetheart and eternal companion, David, who preceded her in death along with her parents, Thomas and Virginia McComb, brother Thomas McComb Jr and beloved grandson, Mark Broadhead. Sherry is survived by her children David, Scott (Lynette) and Maria (Neil), sisters Sandra Reisher and Lori Bunting along with her grandchildren Micheal, Allen, Gwen, Emma, Audrey, Thomas, Edee, Cash, Sadie and Noah who she absolutely adored.
