Shelbi Ann Haig, devoted friend, Renaissance woman, prankster, and endlessly loved and loving partner, passed away suddenly on October 6th, 2014 from a pulmonary embolism. In her short life, Shelbi was a hot air balloon pilot, tennis and softball champion, award-winning saleswoman, successful business owner, musician and composer, artist, published author, and one of the most beautiful souls to ever grace the Earth.
Born to James and Vicki Haig in Phoenix, Arizona on September 15, 1970, Shelbi quickly began frightening her parents by escaping from her crib and exploring the house. Her relentless desire for knowledge and learning never abated.
She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her – from childhood friends to recent friends, to friends she only knew online. Shelbi never hesitated to drop everything in order to help people in distress.
Shelbi is survived by her adoring fiancee, Jennifer Tuckett; her mother, Vicki Haig; her sister, Jaimi Haig; her brother-in-law, Dana Wilson; her stepdaughter, Aneeka Montague, and her adorable cats. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, James Haig, and many pampered pets.
A celebration of life party will be held, and those interested in attending may make a note in the comments section and will be notified.
In memory of Shelbi, please donate to your favorite cause (not the Eagle Forum), and spend some time talking with people you normally wouldn’t. Shelbi said that the one thing she could always give people was time, even though, as it turned out, she had so little.
