Shawna Faye Martinson, loving wife and mother, passed away May 7, 2020 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born September 22, 1968 in Anchorage Alaska to Dale and Ovila Johnson. She married Curt Martinson on October 10, 2015.
She followed her religious conviction well and strove to teach her children her beliefs to the best of her ability. She was an artist and enjoyed writing as well. She enjoyed music and listened to alternative music. She enjoyed singing with her family and watching cooking shows and eating new foods. She loved nature and watching sunsets. She loved watching fireworks. She was a true Whovian.
Shawna is survived by her husband, Curt Martinson, her mother Ovila Johnson; siblings, Leah Ware, Jeffory Johnson, Leslie Johnson, Bonnie Pettit, and Jeannine Shearin. Also survived by her children, Steven Johnson, Mitchell Paulson, Cozette Johnson, Miranda Madison, Zachary Madison, Rachel Madison, Kate Martinson-Kelly, and Sam Martinson.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 S. Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah with interment to follow. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary.
