Shawn Litnak, age 40, died on November 3, 2019 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on November 28, 1978 in Murray, Utah to Lynn Litnak and Susan Hill Garr.
Shawn was a gentle giant without an enemy in the world.
He was kind, selfless and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he was needed. Although at a young age Shawn developed a seizure disorder that sometimes limited him, he never complained and never felt sorry for the things he couldn’t do. Shawn lived for his family, they were his world. He loved spending time enjoying movies and going on outings with his dad, and traveling with his Mom and Step-dad to all corners of Utah and beyond. He loved boating and hiking, especially when there were nieces and nephews to go on the adventures with him. Shawn was the favorite uncle whose innocent pure spirit made him like a big brother who could always be found covered in adoring nieces and nephews vying for his attention. He was often an instigator of the mischief they got into. He loved to play video games, and share his love of technology and findings of his research with anyone who’d join in and listen. His dream car was a Hummer, if he could have driven a car he would have wanted one.
We love you Shawn and will miss you so much. Angels must sometimes return to Heaven.
He is survived by his Father Lynn, Mother Susan, step-father Stephen. Brothers Colby (Rachael), Kevin (Pauliese). Step-brothers Nicholas (Rebecca), Michael (Chelsey), step-sisters April and Lisa (Andy). And his adoring 16 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Leone Hill, Dorothy Baker, George Litnak.
Funeral services will be held on November 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM with a viewing held two hours prior beginning at 9:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house located at 3976 W. (5615 South) Dimrall Drive, Taylorsville, Utah 84129 Interment will be at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.Service Information
