Sharon Utter

August 16, 1942 — January 24, 2020

Sharon Lee Emerson Utter
1942-2020
Born August 16, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed away January 24, 2020

Married Robert “Bob” Winton Utter on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1964.

There are not enough words to describe what a beautiful mom, grandmother, aunt and friend Sharon was. She could engage in a conversation with anyone and instantly became friends with whomever she met. Sharon made sure that family gatherings were pleasant and everyone was enjoying each other. She made sure that each child and grandchild had a new outfit to wear on their Birthdays and any special occasion. Shoes were her favorite clothing item to buy. If you noticed Mikelle, Devon, Kaitlin, Cove & Nicole always wore a new  pair of shoes. Sharon loved to buy shoes. She used to tell everyone how much money she saved and knew how to find a deal. If there was an empty space in her closest she would quickly fill that with a new pair of shoes.
Sharon enjoyed camping  with her family and friends and could turn a 15 foot trailer into a five star hotel. She made camping outdoors look glamorous!
Sharon enjoyed going to lunch on Saturday afternoons and attending a play now and then with her girl friends.

Our mother and father (Sharon & Bob) were married for 46 years. They taught us love, kindness, patience, happiness and to laugh often. They raised two children Michelle & Kurt and was involved in their grandchildren’s lives by babysitting as often as they could, would pick the grandkids up from school, taking them to lunch, dinner or simply stop to get an ice cream or slurpee.
Life is too short! Enjoy every second of it!

Survived by daughter, Michelle, son, Kurt (Kathy), grandchildren Mikelle, Kaitlin, Cove & Nicole.
Preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” W Utter, wonderful grandson Devon W. Utter, parents John & Jackie Benson along with sister Jackie Ann Leon.
