Sharon Mears

September 17, 1941 — October 26, 2019

Sharon Janene Neeley Mears, long time resident of Taylosville, passed peacefully into the light after complications from a long battle with diabetes on October 26, 2019. Sharon was born September 17, 1941 to Donald Cravath and Margaret Curry Neeley in Salt Lake City, Utah, attending West High School where she met and later married her High School sweetheart Douglas Lynnwood Mears on June 20, 1959. Together they had four beautiful children; Tracy Douglas (Denis Kilpatrick), Todd Jeffrey, Chanse Terrell, (Kristy) Mears, and Lisa Danielle(Ralph) Symes.
She is survived by her loving husband, children, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brothers, Donald(Cindy) Neeley and Jay(Margarita) Neeley. Sister-in-law Pamela Ann(Frank) Wilson, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and an endless list of friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, sister, her best friend Denise and brother in law Dusty Bills.
Sharon touched the lives of all who knew and met her. Most everyone called her “Mom”, and she was. Her love, grace and acceptance, as well as her endless fount of advice will forever be missed. Until we meet again.
Services will be held Friday November 1, 2019, where family and friends may gather at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Bvld, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm with a viewing one hour prior.
