Sharon Jane Patton Ford peacefully passed away from Alzheimer’s on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born on March 25, 1937 to Milton and Marguerite Patton in Rupert, Idaho as the youngest of four children. Sharon later graduated from Provo High and subsequently attended BYU. While in Provo she fell in love with the handsome Hal Ford and married him on March 16, 1956. Sharon loved to work. During her life she worked at various jobs and finally as the head accountant at the Sports Mall athletic club until she retired. She was a devoted mother of three children.
Sharon enjoyed golfing with her husband and friends, she was a voracious reader, and loved debating politics, watching movies, listening to classical music, working in her flower garden, and especially loved traveling. She saw a good portion of the world during her lifetime. Some of her favorite trips included cruises through the fiords in the New Zealand islands, the Panama Canal, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Europe, and trips to the Great Wall of China, and Machu Picchu in Peru.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sisters Betty Greer and Patty Stubbs. She is survived by her brother, Nephi Patton (Diane), her three children Kevin (Kerry) Ford, Marianne (Jeffrey) Lee, Cameron (Kimberly) Ford, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 2nd, 2022 at 11AM, with a closed casket viewing taking place prior to the service from 10-10:45AM, at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery at 3115 E Bengal Blvd Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
