Sharon Lee Ingles

Sharon Lee Ingles passed away Monday, January 6th, at the Stonehenge Care facility in American Fork, Utah, following a brief seasonal illness. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Stonehenge for caring for Sherry for several years.

Sherry loved people. Her happiest moments were in the company of her friends and family. Prior to her age-related infirmities, Sherry loved caring for her cats and a bird named Charlie. She enjoyed cooking simple meals and doing wash and keeping house. She was fiercely independent and loved to travel and socialize. Sherry never turned down an offer to go somewhere. Sherry enjoyed music and would love to dance and sing to almost anything. She struggled to read, yet the goal of wanting to learn to read was a lifelong passion. Sherry was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She left an impression on many in her life as she was very friendly, forthright, and loving.

Sherry is survived by her son Mark (Jill) Ingles, grandchildren Brooke (Connor) Stephenson, Brieann (Collin) Magee, Tyler Ingles, Zac Ingles, Luke Ingles, and great-grandson Miles Stephenson. She is also survived by siblings Charlotte Davis, Carl (Meegan) Toro, Heidi Toro, Jim Toro, Suzy (Paul) Shumway, David Toro, Rebekah (Mike) Moak, and her Simerly cousins Glena (John) Walke, Nancy Schreiber, Dorothy (Mike) Boylan, Bill (Lori) Simerly and Bob (Jo) Simerly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Greer; her mother, Beulah Reid; her father, Daniel Connelly, and her stepfathers, Lloyd Ingles and John Toro; siblings Darlene Ingles and Steve Ingles; Aunt Inger Simerly, Uncle Leland Simerly, and three dear cousins, Carol Simerly, Mary Patnaude, and Barbara Price.

Funeral services will be held on January 18, 2025, at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery, 3115 E. 7800 South (Bengal Blvd), Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121. Viewing at 9:30 AM, memorial service at 10:30 AM with interment at the same location immediately following the service.
