Sharon F. Smith, age 60, passed away on April 24, 2017, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born June 23, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Theron T. and Donna Farnsworth. She was raised in Sandy and graduated from Jordan High School.
Sharon married Kerry L. Smith on November 5, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings; her favorite being primary pianist. Sharon enjoyed playing volley ball, square dancing, camping with family and any kind of puzzle. Her greatest joy was her children, and more recently granddaughters. Sharon worked at the LDS Distribution Center where she made many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Kerry; children: Stewart Smith, Christina (Craig) Campbell, Audrey (Jared) Laing, Russell Smith, Vance Smith and Megan (Mark) Ramil; sisters: Carol McWherter, Marsha Smith, Nancy Ball and Connie Harris; grandchildren: Arwen Ramil, Stephanie Laing and Danielle Laing. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on May 1, 2017 at the church at 7030 Lochness Avenue, West Valley City, UT at 11:00 AM with a viewing at the church on April 30, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.MemorialUtah.com.
