Sharlene Peay

September 6, 1933 — April 21, 2020

Our sweet mom Sharlene Peay 86 years young of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed through this earthly life, peacefully on April 21st, 2020. Sharlene was born on September 6th, 1933, to Carroll and Verda Healy in Salt Lake City UT. She married Clark Thomas Peay on May 28th, 1954.  Preceding her death are her husband Clark Peay, and her sweet grandchild Tauni Payne, born to her daughter Sheri and (Curt Payne). She is survived by her sister Janet Davis. She was fortunate to have had a beautiful family of four children. Debbie and (Bob) Sharp, Steve Peay, Greg and (Sonya) Peay, and Sheri and (Curt) Payne. She also had fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Our mother made the best of life by vacationing to London, Scotland, Branson, and New York. She suffered most of her adult life with RA, but never complained about it until the last few months. We, as a family could always see the pain in her face, sometimes it was unbearable to watch. Her curled up toes, and hands showed the signs of a ravaged earthly body, but it never stopped her from being extremely independent and active. Sharlene was very funny and loved to have fun. Golf, Bowling, Cards with high school friends, and the club, were a few of her favorite hobbies. Her passion was the piano and especially playing her favorite tunes Clair De Lune and Michelle my bell, along with other church hymns. Other loves were her Christmas Village and decorations, filling her home with cheer and beauty; she was very proud of this. She will surely be sorely missed, but we are happy that she is at peace and out of pain. God speed mom, we love you. We have received so much love, prayers, and thoughts via social media, phone, and in-person, and it is appreciated. We want to give special thanks to Beehive Home of Riverton and Rocky Mountain Hospice for the exceptional care they gave to our mother.
