Shannon Fay Butz

Shannon Fay Butz, born November 5, 1963 was loved by all.  He lived life to its fullest, loved unconditionally and accepted everyone. He left this world April 12, 2016 doing what he loved.  Shannon volunteered to be a father to many, loving his children as if they were his own. He was the perfect example of the quote “only blood makes us relatives, it’s the bonds created that makes us family.” Shannon was preceded in death by his parents Patsy and Carl Butz and his sister Carla Butz.  Shannon is survived by his wife, Wendy Jean Butz, father-in-law Jerry (Sharon) Sharp, his son Tyrell (Estee) Roush, his grandchildren Dayton, Etta Abigayle and Myles, step daughters Ashli, Amber, and Amanda Bingham, his brothers Wade Messick, Wayne Butz and Daniel (Janice) Butz, his sisters Elena Snelten and Vicki (Wayne) Lott and numerous others whom Shannon called his family.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, with a viewing to begin at 12:00 noon prior to the funeral.  In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted to help with medical expenses.
