Shannon A Sorenson, 66, died on July 12, 2016 in Lehi, Utah. A special son was born September 23, 1949, to Alvin Leroy and Wilma May Morrill Sorenson. He was a jokester and a teaser, he loved to flirt and make new friends. Danville was his family, and he had many, many friends. Some called him Buckwheat and if you couldn’t keep up with your job he would call you a slacker. He had many jobs over his life; ZCMI, Deseret Industries, Provo Temple, Macey’s, and Danville Services for many, many years. He loved to fish with his dad, go bike riding, play guitar, visit with people, sweet-talk all nurses, bowling, taking his girlfriends on dates, and fishing some more. He had the trip of a lifetime when he went deep sea fishing in Alaska. He is survived by his sisters and brother; Carla (Dave) Turner, Aleine (Cloyd) Turner, Kenley (Shelly) Sorenson, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister, Vida May. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 15 at 11:00 am at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 S. State Street, Sandy Utah. Viewing will be held at 9:30 am at the same location. Many, many thanks to the personnel at Danville Services for their loving care and companionship for over 30 years.Service Information
