Scott Victor Blanton, 56, passed away on April 25, 2016 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on February 15, 1960 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Victor Lynn Blanton and Janice Louise Jasienski.
He was an extremely loving husband and father. He and his family shared many happy times together camping, skiing, biking, hiking, swimming, and just spending time together laughing and enjoying one another in the outdoors.
After 30 years of service at the Salt Lake City Water Department, he retired on October 1, 2015 as a Senior Water Distribution Operator, a key position dealing with water delivery and emergencies. He lifted the spirits of friends and coworkers with his upbeat personality and caring attitude, and will be remembered for all the lives he positively impacted through his work.
Scott will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda Blanton; children, Joseph and Rebecca Blanton; sisters Pamela Wong, Alexandra, Mikkela, and Lindsey Blanton; brother, Maurice Blanton; father, Victor (wife Judy) Blanton; nephew, Simón Rodriguez; and niece, Dacia Wong.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.Service Information
