Sasan Moatamed

June 5, 1967 — January 5, 2014

Salt Lake City—Sasan Moatamed, our dear son and great brother has left us suddenly at 47 years of age. His parents Shahpar Ghodsi, Farhad Moatamed, and brother Sina Moatamed, along with their extended families would like his many friends to attend a celebration of his life on Satuday January 10 at Millcreek Inn, 5802 E Millcreek Road, Salt Lake City, Utah between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Sasan spent most of his life in Salt Lake City and was in the business of celebration at his exclusive reception center, the Millcreek Inn in the mouth of the Millcreek Canyon in Salt Lake City. It is fitting that we celebrate him in return.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his name. Please feel free to attend in every color attire and share memories of him with one another.
“….. wish you were here
we were two fish in a bowl….”
One of Sasan’s dearest friends sang this Pink Floyd song on his guitar as we gathered to celebrate Sasan’s life last Saturday. We, his family, know that, like us, all of you wished he still was here. Yet, the void was filled by all of you— his friends, our friends, our colleagues, and our relatives who traveled up the long canyon to be with us.Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
For all others who graced us with your sympathy cards, e-mails, phone calls, and flowers— thank you. The outpouring of your emotions and sharing your memories of Sasan with us and with each other will help mend our broken hearts. Our small family suddenly expanded across the world as you held our dear son and brother, Sasan, closely in your hearts. Thank you.
Special thanks go to the high-school class of ’85 whose collective condolences was displayed in a glorious flower arrangement adorning the room.
With our utmost gratitude,
Shahpar Ghodsi, Farhad Moatamed, Sina Moatamed
