Sandy Gallegos

February 1, 1943 — March 15, 2016

Sandy Lee Westbury Gallegos of Santa Clara Utah passed away on March 15, 2016 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center from the effects of Chronic Lymphoid Leukemia (CLL). Sandy was surrounded by her devoted husband and children until the very end.
Sandy was born in Beadle, South Dakota in 1943 to Claire Maxine Hurd Bergman (Fred) and James Westbury. She had been married to her best friend and soul mate, Ruben R. Gallegos for the last 55 years. They moved to Santa Clara a short 10 months ago to begin their life of fun in the sun. Sandy wasn’t happy unless she was golfing at least twice a week and reaching for her third hole-in-one.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Ruben R. Gallegos, her daughter, Angie Schroader (Rob), Son, Jeff Gallegos (RaeLin), Sister Carol Jordan (Ted). Grandchildren, Kody Ruben Burgess, Chantil Burgess, Drew Madsen, Bree Gallegos, Zach Brown, Alexis (Trevor) Lyon, Isabell and J.P Phillips, Azure and McCoy Schroader and her first great Granddaughter, Macy Burgess. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Dena Burgess (Paul), Grand Daughter MaQuelle Ashley Madsen, parents and sister, Michelle Felis.
Sandy was the light of our family and to everyone she came across. We will carry her beautiful memory in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 State St, Sandy, UT on Saturday March 19th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing at 12:00 p.m.
