Sandra Woodbrey

Sandra Hall Woodbrey, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter went home to her Heavenly Father on Thursday July 9, 2015 at the Heritage Hills Care and Rehab Center in Nephi Utah after a struggle with Alzheimer’s. Sandra was born on December 25th 1945 in St. George to Preston Var Hall and Noreen Nelson who preceded her and welcomed her home. Sandra later met and married Michael Woodbrey in the Manti Temple on June 3, 1967. She is survived by her two brothers Lawrence J Hall of Gresham Oregon, and Ronald C Hall of St. George Utah. Four children Barbara Anne (Darwin) Bodily of Ogden Utah, Thomas Robert (Lisa) Woodbrey of Butler PA, Deborah Kaye Woodbrey of Nephi Utah, and Sheryl Lynne (James) Thompson of Spanish Fork Utah. Ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Sandra was raised up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved the Gospel and was very devoted to many church calling in the Primary. She loved working with and serving the children. She loved the Temple. She loved doing genealogy and devoted the rest of her life into doing as much genealogy as she could. Her faith and love for her Savior Jesus Christ never left her. She always had a smile of her face no matter what challenges she was facing. She never complained, she never doubted her Savior’s love for her. She was a shining example to her children, a pillar of strength. Sandra worked as a seamstress and was very devoted to her family. She loved to sing and she loved music and she passed that into her children. She encouraged them to learn to play an instrument or to at least sing. Even with Alzheimer’s, she would recognize hymns and would hum along with them. Sandra will be missed. Her love and kindness touched many lives. Her example will live with us forever. She will be remembered for her selflessness, her willingness to serve, her laughter, her song, and her love.
Funeral services will be held for family and friends on Tuesday July 14th at 2pm with a viewing one hour prior. All services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary at 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd). Internment also at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery.
