Sandra Lee Fitzgerald Calder

With deep sorrow we are incredibly sad to announce our sweet, gentle, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at the age of 76 from Heart Failure at her residence surrounded by her family Thursday Sept 23, 2021. Sandra was born June 1, 1945 in Murray, Utah to the late Betty Jean Webster Fitzgerald and Paul Fitzgerald.
Growing up she and her other 5 siblings lived in many different places in Utah where she graduated from Granite High School in 1964. She married Karl Flack Calder in 1966, and began her career at the Utah Stamp Company. She finished her career as the office manager of Harper Companies retiring with over 40 years of service.
Sandra enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, golfing, crocheting, camping, gardening, canning, shopping, baking, scrapbooking and traveling. Her favorite thing most of all was caring for the ones she loved. If you knew her, she touched your heart. Even with the weight of many illnesses she never complained. She was always a willing caregiver, and happy to do it. She had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. She loved having her family and her puppy Gracie around to keep her company. She is loved and survived by her children, Stacy (Kipp Craynor) Henderson, Kenneth (Angie) Calder, Scott (Emily Macleod) Calder; grandchildren: Tyler Henderson, Shante Henderson, Chloe Calder, and great grandchild, Hayden Henderson. She is also survived by her siblings: Paula (Rulon) Harper, Danny (Pat) Fitzgerald and Becky (Dennis) Sharp, as well as many nieces and Nephews; preceded in death by husband, parents, and siblings, Debbie Openshaw, and Mike Fitzgerald.
Services will be held Friday October 1, 2021 11:00 AM at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary. 4670 S Highland Drive Holladay UT 84117. Viewing Thursday September 30, 2021 6:00 – 8:00 PM and 1 hour prior to services. Interment at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, UT 84117.Service Information
