Sandra Lee Fabela, 71, of Midvale, Utah passed away peacefully on April 17, 2020 at Cascades at Riverwalk Nursing Home. She was born on October 26, 1948 in Omaha, NE, to William and Dorothy Simpson.
Sandy graduated from Columbus High School. She moved to Utah where she met her husband Alfonso Archuleta. They spent 40 wonderful years together in Midvale and West Jordan, Utah. Sandy enjoyed bowling she was a master at it and won several 1st place trophies on her league. She and her husband Alfonso loved their trips to Wendover, Utah. Sandy was the Keno Queen. She loved hosting the Fun Bus, everyone loved to ride when she was hosting, she made it so fun. Sandy worked for UTA Flex Trans for 20+ years. She had a passion for transporting people to their destinations and she loved all the friends she made over the years at UTA.
Sandy is survived by her Sister Linda Simpson, NE, Brother Bill Simpson, NE, Cousin Randy Den, UT, Sons Todd Fabela, UT, David Archuleta (Dianne), CO, and Tyler Archuleta, UT, Granddaughter Tasia Fabela, Grandson Austin Archuleta, and many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Archuleta Family Members and Friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her Mother Dorothy Simpson, Father Bill Simpson, and husband Alfonso Archuleta.
We would like to include a special thank you to my Uncle, Johnny Archuleta, and his wife Kathy for all their loving support for Sandy. They have spent the last 2+ years caring for Sandy after Al passed away. Sandy loved them dearly and the Simpson and Archuleta families appreciate all the time they have spent caring for her. We would also like to thank all the health care workers at Cascades at Riverwalk for their loving care during Sandy’s time of need. She made many good friends while she was there.
Sandy will be dearly missed and will always be in our hearts and prayers. Cremation has taken place at Redwood Memorial and a memorial service will be determined after the COVID-19 pandemic.
