Sandra Lea Nielson

August 3, 1960 — December 27, 2019

Our Beloved wife and mother Sandra Lea Nielson passed away on December 27, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 3rd, 1960 in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin to Neal and Jeanette McDougal. Sandy grew up in Kearns, Utah. Where she would later meet the love of her life Tracy. They started their life together on April 29th, 1977. Shortly after they started a family. They have four daughters. Sandy was a wonderful mother. Not only to her girls but to many others. She had an open door to anyone in need of friendly advice and a warm meal.
Sandy was very crafty and an accomplished painter. She loved to read. Sandy had an adventurous spirit. She loved traveling and cruising. She loved the outdoors, camping and four-wheeling with family were her favorite. She loved spending time with her family. Every holiday was made extra special, especially Christmas. It was her favorite when she was home, there was always a classy movie playing. She knew every actor/actress’s life story. She had a great love for the classics. She was a wonderful housekeeper. Her home was always neat and tidy. She tried to instill this trait in her daughters who would love to tease her about how she would do laundry on vacation. Even on a cruise ship, she would always find a laundromat.
Sandy’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved playing card games and getting down on the floor to play dolls or cars with them.
Sandy loved her family with all her heart, and they love her. Her favorite saying was “Always together never apart”
She is survived by her husband, her daughters Brandy Lindsey, Angie (Anthony) Blake, Crystal Nielson, and Nicole (Steven) Boynton, sister Jeaneal Grammier and Roxanna (Fred) Page, brother Jeff McDougal, and 11 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister June McDougal, brother Ray McDougal, her nieces Christina and Jennifer McDougal.
