Sandra was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a smile that lit up a room, and when you were with her you knew how much she loved you. Sandra loved her friends. She was very giving of her time and wrote many cards and letters to her friends and loved ones.
Sandra worked for Mountain Bell as a phone operator while in high school. She married Stephan Nemcek in 1957, they moved to Little Falls, New York where they lived until they moved to Utah in 1962. They had two children and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1973. In 1989, her soulmate Stephan passed away of cancer. She later met her second husband, Rod Stone, they were married for time in 1990. They lived and traveled happily until his death in 2014.
Sandra worked for J.C. Penney and retired from First Security Bank. She loved to write poetry, draw, scrapbooking, doting on her grandchildren and spent a lot of time traveling. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and served an LDS mission with Rod Stone to New Hampshire where they made many friends while photographing records. Our mother was a loving and caring woman. Her family meant more to her than anything.
Sandra is survived by her son: Eric S. Nemcek (Lori), Farmington; daughter: Karen S. Hooton (Eric), Layton, stepdaughter: Tana Stone, Hurricane. Grandchildren, Pamela Chappell (Austin), Stephan Mann, Jennifer Langsy, Joshua Nemcek, Tyler Nemcek, Tasha Nemcek, and Madison Nemcek and 7 great-grandchildren.
